Location Data

How we use location:

• Your location is used only to calculate accurate prayer times for your area
• Location data is processed locally on your device
• Location data is never sent to any server
• Location data is never shared with third parties
• You can choose to manually set your location instead of using GPS

Permissions Used

Prayer Times requests the following permissions:

• Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): To automatically detect your city for accurate prayer times
• Schedule Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To play the adhan at precise prayer times
• Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To notify you of upcoming prayer times
• Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): To ensure the adhan plays even when your screen is locked

These permissions are used only for the app's core functionality and never for data collection.

No Third-Party Services

Prayer Times does NOT use:

• Google Analytics or any analytics services
• Advertising networks or ad tracking
• Social media SDKs
• Crash reporting services
• Any third-party data collection tools

No Advertisements

Prayer Times contains no advertisements and never will. We believe prayer times should be shown with respect and without commercial interruption.

Data Storage

All app settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. This data includes:

• Your preferred theme
• Selected calculation method
• Chosen adhan sound
• Language preference
• Last known location (if you allowed location access)

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Children's Privacy

Prayer Times is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Open Source & Transparency

Prayer Times is built with transparency in mind. We use only open-source libraries for prayer time calculations and do not include any proprietary tracking code.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete. All data stays on your device and can be cleared by:

• Uninstalling the app
• Clearing app data in your device settings

International Users

Prayer Times can be used anywhere in the world. Since no data is collected or transmitted, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns.
